Preserved Australian sugar cane locomotives

This list attempts to list all locomotives that have passed out of sugar industry ownership and are thought to still exist, or that are believed to have been scrapped subsequent to some form of preservation. Motorised line cars are not included.

All locomotives are 2ft gauge unless indicated otherwise.

The mill shown on each occasion is the last mill at which a locomotive worked. Some locomotives have worked at a number of mills. All mills and other locations are in Queensland unless indicated otherwise.

The present ownership / whereabouts of some locomotives is unknown and this is indicated by the symbol #. In such cases, the last known owner is often shown. Locomotives believed to be scrapped are indicated by the symbol +.

A key to the locomotive builder abbreviations follows at the ends of the lists.
